On April 18, reports emerged about Israel’s attack on Iran, after which, Elon Musk tweeted a message of peace, stating that the countries should send rockets on the stars rather than each other.

Elon Musk is widely considered to be a supporter of Israel. In November 2023, he visited the country to meet Isaac Herzog, President and Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister.

On October 7, Musk also visited a rural village, Kfar Azza kibbutz, that Hamas militants stormed, which subsequently led to the ongoing war. In a conversation streamed on X with Netanyahu, Musk said, “It was jarring to see the scene of the massacre.”

Breaking News On Israel Attack

The development of the news was confirmed when Iran’s state media started reporting fire explosions in the central province of Isfahan. The popular news channels have reported that three blasts were heard around the Shekari army airbase in the north-west of Isfahan province.

Isfahan is the most preferred site and is home to sites associated with Iran’s nuclear program, including its Natanz enrichment site, an underground site, which is suspected to be a repeated target of Israel’s attackers.

Impact Of Israel’s Attack

Tasnim, Iran’s news agency, recently confirmed that all the nuclear facilities situated in Isfahan were completely secure.

Previously, Iran launched missiles and drone attacks on Israel. Tehran confirmed that it was in retaliation for the ongoing strike by Israel on the Iranian consulate in Damascus which on April 1 killed two generals and several others.

The US imposed measures such as sanctions and export controls on Iran to reduce the impact of the attack.

Joe Biden, president of USA, made a statement where he stated, “The sanctions target leaders and entities connected to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iran’s Defense Ministry, and the Iranian government’s missile and drone program that enabled this brazen assault.”

Several flights and air connectivity have been diverted over Iranian airspace. However, they did not share the actual reason for the diversion with passengers.

Subsequently, Iran finally announced that it had grounded commercial flights in Tehran and across areas of its western and central regions. The loudspeakers were used to inform customers about the incident at Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran, it was also shown through online videos.

Iran’s state-run agency, IRNA, reported that Iran has fired air defence batteries after hearing the sounds of explosions. IRNA particularly said that air defences fired at a major airbase in Isfahan.
