Many renowned celebs have shown interest in diverse cryptocurrencies and bought a considerable supply of those cryptos. Most of them took interest in meme coins, whereas others invested their funds in other cryptos. Some influencers even launched their cryptocurrencies and made a profit by taking advantage of their popularity.

𝐋𝐔𝐂𝐈𝐄 (@LucieSHIB), the Shiba Inu marketing head, has recently posted a tweet highlighting celebs posting Solana crypto addresses everywhere. The Shiba Inu executive believes those celebrity accounts are hacked, and people should stay away to avoid getting scammed.

Continue reading to find out the facts behind Lucie’s tweet and how celebs scam their followers to earn easy money.

Beware of Crypto Celebs

The crypto industry is growing rapidly. It has attracted many famous celebs whose involvement with certain projects has affected their followers. Matt Damon, Kim Kardashian, Tom Brady, Elon Musk, and others have shared their positive thoughts on crypto. Some even led their followers to specific cryptos, which eventually caused massive losses.

The Shiba Inu marketing lead reported hackers have targeted the accounts of celebs. They might be hacked, posting SOL addresses probably for airdrop seekers. Users can face losses if they transfer funds to those accounts for airdrops.

Famous Celebs Targeted by Fraudsters to Scam Their Followers

50 Cent is a well-known American rapper whose X account was exploited by a fraudster. That individual hacked the rapper’s social media account along with thisis50.com, promoted a cryptocurrency, and made $3 million in just 30 minutes! 50 Cent denied any type of involvement in this scam through his Insta page.

Hackers have also targeted former US president Barak Obama, Elon Musk, Joseph R. Biden Jr., Kanye West, Bill Gates, and other verified Twitter users back in 2020 to exploit their followers for free Bitcoins. Hackers had claimed that these celebs would double the number of BTCs their followers would send and that offer was available only for 30 minutes.

Some celebrities have also exploited their position by promoting worthless projects. They encouraged their followers to invest in certain cryptos they were promoting or holding. Once the prices went up, those celebs dumped those cryptos and made millions in profit.

Floyd Mayweather, DJ Khaled, and Manny Pacquiao promoted a project in 2017 as a revolutionary payment solution. That project collapsed due to fraud charges against its founders, and numerous investors lost their money. It shows how risky it can be to blindly follow certain celebs when it comes to investing in cryptos.

Celebs like Lindsay Lohan, Logan Paul, rapper T.I. Lil Pump, and several others have been accused of pump-and-dump scams. Cryptos promoted by influencers and celebs undoubtedly benefit them, but investing in those cryptos can be harmful to followers.

ZachXBT Accuses Football Legend Ronaldinho of Pumping and Dumping Cryptos

ZachXBT is a crypto trader with over 601K followers on X. He has accused Ronaldinho Gaúcho, the Brazilian soccer star, of pumping and dumping cryptocurrencies. ZachXBT has shared the proof in the form of screenshots of crypto-related tweets made by the Brazilian soccer player.

Those tweets show how the footballer has promoted different cryptos and projects. He may also have made a profit by first buying certain cryptos at cheap rates, promoting them, and then selling his holdings at much higher rates. The soccer player may have made millions if ZachXBT is right.
